About

I created this hub to bring clarity, compassion, and real-world support to dancers, teachers, and studios.   With decades of experience across training, teaching, and curriculum design, my mission is simple: to make dance education more accessible, more informed, and more human, especially for those who learn, move, or think differently.   Here you’ll find resources that blend artistry, science, and inclusivity to help every dancer thrive.

Meet the Founder

Hi, I’m Sarah, dancer, educator, perpetual student, and the heart behind this resource hub.

For me, this work began many years ago when I was a student teacher working with a young dancer named Emily with dyslexia.   Wanting to support her properly, I headed to the library to learn more, and found very little that translated into dance teaching.   That moment stayed with me.   Over the years, as I've worked with more neurodivergent dancers, I repeatedly found myself researching, adapting, and piecing together information from scattered sources.

After more than 35 years teaching across studios, colleges, community settings, and professional training environments, I’ve learned that great dance education is never just about steps.   It’s about clarity, confidence, and creating conditions where dancers can thrive.

My background includes performing professionally as a dancer and singer, training with world-class educators, and developing programmes informed by dance science, mental health, technique, and creativity.   These influences have shaped a teaching approach that is structured, research-informed, and deeply human.

This hub is an extension of that work.   It exists to support teachers and dancers, with particular care for those who are neurodivergent.   I’ve seen how powerfully dancers can flourish when learning is clear, flexible, and respectful of sensory and communication needs, and how disheartening it is when spaces fail to adapt.

Here, neurodivergent dancers aren’t “accommodated”, they’re understood, valued, and celebrated.

Thank you for being here.   Together, we can build dance spaces where all minds feel safe, supported, and able to thrive.

Our Purpose

Many dance teachers want to be more inclusive and are looking for clear, practical ways to begin.   They want to support neurodivergent dancers with confidence and care, but often struggle to find guidance that is relevant to real dance teaching.

Information exists, but it is scattered, inconsistent, and frequently written in ways that do not speak directly to dance educators.   Much of it lacks practical application in studio settings, or fails to honour the artistic and technical integrity of dance.

All Minds Dance Hub was created to bring this knowledge together in one accessible place.   Here, teachers will find clear, adaptable teaching strategies, sensory-aware class design, communication supports, practical regulation tools, and technique adaptations across a range of dance styles.

There is no single right way to teach neurodivergent dancers, but there are many thoughtful, supportive approaches that can transform the classroom.   Our role is not to prescribe, but to help teachers explore these approaches with clarity, confidence, and respect for every dancer’s individuality.

Our Approach

This Hub is Built on the Values of:

Inclusivity

Every dancer deserves a space where they can learn, grow, and express themselves without the pressure to “fit in.”

Clarity

We present information in calm, simple, accessible formats to reduce overwhelm and make learning easier.

Collaboration

We draw on insights from neurodiverse individuals, dance teachers, parents and carers, and educational specialists.

This hub will continue to grow alongside the community it serves.

Respect

We honour all neurotypes, all learning styles, and all bodies.   Dance should be a place of belonging.

Practicality

Everything we provide is designed to be used in real studios, with real students, in real-life situations.
